ABOUT THE WORK

In the tradition of several Native American beliefs (my Grandmother was full Cherokee), the weather is a living creature with power and discernment to bless or punish. This scene is near English Park of Yellowbanks on the Ohio river in Owensboro, KY. The Thunderbird many times follows the Ohio valley. Owensboro also used to host hydroplane races on the river called "Thunder On The Ohio".
